Level 6 Presentation / Feedback from Peers

Yesterday saw half of the group present their thoughts on the coming year and the briefs they were hoping to tackle. I kept my presentation fairly simple, thinking less about the design and thus the aesthetic is actually quite a refined take on how I naturally present work.

I've never particularly enjoyed presenting, but yesterday went well. I spoke with confidence about work that I'm excited to start and I hope I conveyed this.

Key points raised by peers/Amber:

Tom pointed me in the direction of Intermarketing, a Headingley based creative studio who worked extensively with adidas over the course of the 2014 World Cup. Definitely a place to visit.

Work can be found here.

Molly mentioned a nice link between sport and beer, noting that New Balance ran a promotion recently, tying their sports shoes together with beer labels, naming it the 'Real Ale' pack. The execution leaves a lot to be desired but there's potential to look closer at this.

Article here.

Mo mentioned Malcolm Barnard's 'Fashion Theory: An introduction' as a great place to look into Identity theory for COP. I looked at this book for COP2 and it really was a great source of Identity theory that can be brought through into COP3.

Overall, the group responded really well to the presentation and Amber seemed happy with the depth into which I'd explored each brief so far; i.e not too much but each has a fairly solid foundation.
