I've started a new project entitled The Kissing Spine. It's a blog / space working around the concept of conveying a personality of a band without the music.
The bands LUH and ICEAGE are huge influences on this. I essentially want a space with complete chaos and disorder onto which I can post anything and really try and convey a mood and feeling.
I'm always drawn to the dark and gothic side and The Kissing Spine reflects this, it's an equine illness but brings to mind romance and creepy body parts all at once.
I've purchased the url thekissingspine.com and will run the image pasteboard from tumblr, on which I'll customise a theme to make it a full on visual assault with little white space and conveying the tone of a scrap book / without the usual white space and delicacy / care that a tumblr brings.
