Below are the slides that I showed her in the meeting, briefly running through and confirming that she's happy with the logos and showing them in situations that I imagined. She noted the necessity and use of watermarks for photographers so that ties in nicely!
We proposed the above logo for the top of her website in the banner space.
This iteration could potentially work on a business card, though we need to decide on the full logo or the shortening.
In terms of business cards, we both see the logo as a strong enough statement to be printed with either an emboss or deboss / foiling. This then leads to colour choice, of which we have 3. Ideally, a deboss of black, silver or white onto black stock would be employed, though this would be costly and printing white onto black is troublesome (though do-able through new HP technologies).
We see the above circular logos as social media icons of for watermark purposes (as shown below!)
Going forward, it was great to talk to Laura about what she wants from this brand. She mentioned a sort of 'pack' type piece which would incorporate:
- Business Card
- 3/4 postcard size prints of work / incorporating more of a bio / mission statement
- Enclosing bag
- Sticker to hold it together
We mocked this up together and love the effect. A sort of time capsule of sorts, evoked by the imagery, type and colour!
Going forward, things to design & cost up:
- colour choice / back of business card
- choice of images for postcard
- design back of postcard
- print stickers at digital print
- source bag / slipcase.
