OUGD603 / Extended Practice / Peter and Paul / End Of Year Show

Joe from Sheffield studio Peter&Paul came in today to brief us on the End of Year LCA show Identity.

It's a great brief and one that I was excited about from the start of the year, it has the potential to go far and wide.

I've teamed up with Rory, we get on well and have different but equally interesting ways of working. We thought it was a good idea to keep it down to two for this project, with Joe from P&P indicating a strong, simple concept will be a sure fire way to do well.

We started by messing around with words and concepts, thinking largely about what potential employers - design studios - would want when seeing the branding for our end of year show.

So the two key point I've Highlighted were ones which immediately struck us as potentially very interesting and where visuals instantly came to mind.

Seperate

Can be read in two different ways; different from the rest and pulled apart.

Both of these can be visualised with interest! We immediately thought of water and oil and also things broken in half or pulled apart.

Movement

Representing students who are moving about looking for jobs after graduation. Could be shown in numerous ways!
