OUGD603 / Extended Practice / Laura Farrall Brand / Accompanying Typeface

So we have the front of the card sorted, the full Laura Farrall logo white on black works with our choice of recycled white stock which should add a slight bit of age and texture as apposed to a pristine white stock.

From here, we need to find a suitable typeface for the back of the card to deliver vital info. I've mocked up below the card with the same typeface as is used in the logotype (Ostrich Sans) but after showing this to laura and a few other designers, we all agreed another typeface or weight was needed.

As with below, I feel the inclusion of the smaller logo is unnecessary and overcomplicates the message and the identity we're trying to give Laura.

Below, trying a condensed type but there's no personality.

Then began playing with layout, struggling with the length of the email but finding that the two separate bits fit together really nicely. I even tried to bring in some of the lines from the logo but these aren't working, though they do bring some speed to the back.

Below shows the possible integration of the two sections of text.

From here I actually found a full fount of \Ostrich Sans which has meant I can mix up the weights whilst maintaining the feel of Ostrich that nails the brand so effortlessly.
I then put the  type onto the same slant as the logo and suddenly there's this lovely depth to it that makes the card more than just a flat piece of type.

Mocked up onto business cards I think it words fantastically in terms of tying the brand together, communicating the vital info and generally looking like the business card of the photographs they'll sit alongside.
