OUGD603 / Extended Practice / NEST / Form Submission Poster Identity

So after settling on our theme of FORM, we all went away and collected visuals for the submissions posters and then the visuals for the rest of the mag.

A quick research of form brought up a few notable bits of interest for me. Shape is a big one, that is quickly and easily turned into an identity. Also, Volume and Dimension struck me as a things to explore further.

My visuals came from creating the word FORM in the form of shapes, both solid and outline. This mix of solid and non solid provide a visual interest that can change over a campaign.

The type forms recall Paul Renner's Futura but is also something of it's own, particularly when the shapes are messed around with.

Below are experiments with the align tool in Ai, which I often use to create random movement and overlap. I like the lack of control of composition in addition to the fact that there is actual reason to the new position of each shape in relation to the one next to it.
