OUGD603 / Extended Practice / I Need You to Change / Wall of Sound / Typeface

Had an informal crit today and speaking to fellow Graphic Designer Rob Scargill, we decided that the project makes the most sense if I create the typeface based around the context it is to be put in

There are two paths I can see this taking.

A piano based typeface, taking inspiration from the fact the wall will work in a piano key sort of way. The typography could be slender, condensed and play on the black and white theme that comes with the piano aesthetic.
A circuit board based typeface. As the one constant in the work must be 12 lines that return to the circuit board, the aesthetic is already there to be visually exploited.

There's definitely an elegant outcome for a circuit board typeface that innately links up to the central circuit board.

Wit hall this could come a type specimen / instruction book / musical sheet with different songs ready to play - spelt out in A B E G A E etc...
