OUGD603 / Extended Practice / Yearbook / Implementing Warped Text

After two successful photoshoots yesterday, we sat down this morning and worked out where this new imagery could be applied within the book.

I felt the addition of Surface here gets in the way of the work to the right. The pared down version below suits the tone of the opening text from Duncan, suggesting no messing around and getting straight to the work.

Below is a (not purposefully) multi layered application of the text over duotoned studio shots. There's something with this colour - it alludes to the work within the book.

Below, trying coloured type on grayscale image- this kind of works, the red definitely suggesting the depth of the room from which is was traced.

Below, a bloody red version. The colour choice isn't right but the way the text sits on it in the same shade is interesting and visually stimulating.
