I took the collage central spread to Alec who liked the premise but questioned it fitting with our proposal of quite linear, page-per-person spreads.
I agree, though feel a jarring mid section would actually have a positive effect on the memorability of the publication, bringing to mind the chaos and excitement of the studio.
As a way of integrating the spreads, I thought about overlaying other work from the students' submissions as extra glimpses into their process and back catalogue. This merges the scruffy melange of the central spread with the more considered order of the other spreads. Like a neat scrapbook.
