Of course, going forward with the kind of spreads that we're currently going with brings trouble in terms of regular pagination and space for the names of students.
Originally we planned to just number the pages, the numbers referring to the cover which would act as the contents page. While the cover / contents page is still in the works, we decided each page should still contain names of students - to avoid endlessly checking the cover against the work.
Above, names on the outer edges, numbers on central bottom.
Above, names top (problems on white piece), numbers in white boxes on each side. possibility.
Names in White at top and numbers white at bottom.
In order to make the names and numbers stand out, there's the possibility of using a recurring device such as a white box to hold these things.
It looks best to the side of the page, somehow interfering least - though I do think it breaks up the page too much and would ideally like to avoid.
This is much more successful, a weightier typeface and alternate top and bottom positioning definitely works. Best yet.
